Download and complete the drop out document from the UST homepage university forms and materials menu, then visit or mail the original copy to the school. In addition, a consultation with the academic affairs team is necessary for the drop out process. Students who wish to drop out must discuss with the UST student affairs team in advance.

Students can change their major after the start of classes. Students can use the same process as changing their academic advisor (by applying through the UST portal system), and then obtain approval from the relevant faculty.

Students can apply to change their academic advisor through the UST portal system. Students will need to obtain approval from their current academic advisor-major professor, as well as their predicted academic advisor-major professor.

If you do not submit the application for returning to school within the designated period, students will be expelled based on UST school regulations. Make sure to check the academic schedule and submit the application for return within the designated period.

Newly enrolled students cannot apply for a leave of absence at their first semester. However, exceptions can be made for unforeseen events such as mandatory military service and disease. Attach the relevant statement of reasons to the application.

You can apply for a leave of absence from each semester's enrollment period (around February/July) through the UST portal system. The student must directly apply for a leave of absence, and then receive approval from his/her academic advisor and major professor.

Yes. UST is a designated research specialist institution, and therefore doctoral program students are able to serve as a research specialist for their military service for 3 years (after applying and being selected). Research specialists are recruited twice a year (around May/November).
