Human toxicity: Students conduct a standardized toxicity test required by a regulatory authorities for the safety assessment of new materials, and research and developing new toxicity evaluation methods. In addition, they focus on predictive and alternative toxicity research including high tech biotechnology-based stem cell differentiation, toxicity mechanisms, molecular imaging, organoids, brain diseases, and alternative toxicity models. Environmental toxicity: This major includes research on the characteristics of existing and new environmental pollutants including behaviors in media, monitoring and sensing research, toxicity studies from the molecular level to the individual level, and ecosystem studies of community impact by using the latest research techniques and infrastructure.
